WARN Act was meant to give labourers in a plant notice if there shift was being eliminated.
Because of the WARN Act and Businesses don't want to give you notice of termination, layoffs are prolonged. Within 60 days, they won't eliminate a third of an office building. Business will eliminate a few here and a few there over many months.

Heard from my friend in HR that there will be about 800 layoffs in APAC. 250 layoffs in India with the rest mainly in Singapore and Australia. Notifications in APAC are not until at least next week.

Hitting the older higher grades again
Yet again the older and higher grades are getting hit, replaced with cheaper resources from RTP and India, newer skills is cover up for offloading the long terms people that have given years of quality service
