Accountability
Today's word
Robot RIck
It seems like he came into the CEO role with strong credentials on paper, but they don’t appear to be translating into effective leadership. His messaging shows little curiosity about, or interest in, how employees actually experience the firm, which is a sharp departure from a company that once cared about being a great place to work. Of course maybe that’s the point and the leadership style the firm now supports.
What’s clear is that he does not seem equipped for the human side of the job at all. Am I missing something, or is there something impressive about his leadership that I’m just not seeing?
Truist Culture
I can always get behind a culture that pushes you hard to grow. I can’t deal with one that disrespects everyone and belittles anyone based on rank. It’s stupid. A job here isn’t worth any dollar amount. Bill is a creepy dude. Why work here? What does that say about you? I’m out of here.
Toxic competing culture
At fidelity, we are not working to compete against our market competitors.
We are not competing against other BU's.
We are competing against person sitting next to us.
And these toxic managers are encouraging this behavior more than anything.
At work, you're not supposed to give stink eye to each other, I've been part of fidelity for 15 years, started as in intern.
But the last 4 years has been he-l and we have no one but these managers to blame.
first 2026 Purpose Corner
Bill is incredibly pompous and smug. Dude is out of touch and needs to resign ASAP!
Bridget was bad and the new one is horrible
She doesnt know anything!
New To Solventum
Just came on board. Dang, what a bunch of sad sacks moping around here. That's too bad. Here in Eagan and in the old 3M site it's like a morgue. Nobody says "Hi". They are afraid of their own shadow. Oh, well. Maybe some new blood can liven this place up!
NEW PMP Catagories
outstanding impact, exceeds expectations, valuable contribution, needs improvement and not meeting expectations. No calibration meetings and forced catagories. Rank and Yank in full effect at chevron
Does Retirement Exist Here?
Does anyone actually make it to retirement here? Everyone I have known left on their own because of their managers, laid off or given a VERP option. The only people who made it to retirement are admins and Senior Execs.
Was that an Exit Interview??
Was that a public hour long Exit interview for JC? It was definitely a hour long pointless call that could have been an Email.
The layoffs will continue until morale improves
With all the layoffs and people quittin... and morale in the absolute toilet, does anyone in the ELT really believe that this ship isn't sinking further and further with every layoff? How many fingers are left to stick in the di-e.
Why Italy?
Can anyone tell why BKR annual meeting is always held in Italy Florence? Why not Houston?
HPE is run by incompetents and out of touch management
The title says it all.
VSD in Egypt transfered to CapGemini
One of our strongest Delivery teams were all transfered to contingent workers on Friday without any notice or consultation. Now they work for CapGemini.
I can only imagine how this is impacting morale. My heart goes out to this team, you constantly produce amazing results and get the job done. So sorry
How’s the work culture here? Specifically in IT?
Looking to apply for a few positions
Marketing sol leaders are blind followers
You can’t say anything or do anything out of step. Theyre all rule following goody two shoes
Oracle is riding with Mud Horses
Oracle is making a mistake by choosing cheap labor over quality. By hiring fresh graduates to save money and moving work offshore, the company has stopped improving its products and is now just maintaining them.
The experienced people who actually know how things work are being ignored or are waiting to leave, while the bosses at the top keep doing the same old things just to keep their jobs. New hires are using AI to write code, but they don't truly understand the systems.
People are worried stock will drop more because Oracle doesn’t have a strong cloud or AI strategy. Even its financial strategy is poor. No mo--n will go for such a big debt immediately.
To fix this, Oracle needs to analyze stagnant projects. Rework on talents. Get rid of the stuck leadership at the top, and start rewarding the real experts who can actually innovate. Remember Oracle pays low. If it layoff and hires back its going to be another challenge.
My new job description is "Mercenary"
Rick had zero cred with me. He lost more.
Self sabotage
Why does it feel like OFSE is trying to self sabotage?
Still waiting for new work id
Does anyone know what the he-l is taking the company so long to issue the new picture ids, that they demanded back in October that we needed to do it or face discipline. No1 knows where or when they r getting sent out. Once again rush rush rush with this company n the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing.
HR
Does the head of HR still do that thing where she dodges hard questions about layoffs?
AT&T is like Zombie….
It is not alive…
it is not dead…
It is just rotting.
UM Centralization
As a long time UMAC, I can truly say since this centralization my mental health has taken a sharp decline! The new processes that change every 15 minutes, it’s just too much!
just in headend will be contrators based also
Just in headend will be contractors based also. They are currently looking at a few potential companies to take over....
Only people to blame are employees for letting this happen.. Chicken sh--s

Is anyone else tired of the so-called AI gurus?
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of some of these VPs on LinkedIn talking about AI and the impact they can have when they can’t even look away from their monitor and the script that they’re reading from. The chief people officer is the worst offender of all. Cisco is not an AI company just like they’re not a software company. Stick to selling boxes that’s where you made your money.
Inogen is a Culture of Manipulation and Instability
Inogen is not a company that values its people or its integrity. The leadership (C-suite down to Sales Directors) fosters an environment where 'bad behavior' is rewarded and doing the right thing is penalized.
Management: The VP and Directors push the inside sales team to use manipulative tactics. If a rep tries to act ethically, they are told they are doing something wrong.
Instability: Constant layoffs and 'patchwork' solutions to deep-seated structural issues.
Ethics: There is a massive disconnect between the company’s stated values and its actual practices. It is a profit-at-all-costs environment where the C-suite is aware of the toxicity but refuses to fix it."
Irrelevant Middle Management
If they are shifting employee led initiatives like employees are responsible for development efforts and writing their own individual goals. What's the point of top heavy management? We dont need them! They cause more risk to the company by being sloppy.
Everyone gets a 0.1% pay raise to account for inflation! You’re welcome: UDIT
Don't spend it all in one place. Lead with compassion like I do.
A Warm Welcome Deserves a Respectful Goodbye
When employees join a company, they are welcomed warmly and encouraged to believe in its mission and values. That same dignity should exist when employees leave. Instead, being escorted out through the very workplace where we contributed, in front of colleagues we worked alongside every day, is humiliating, traumatic, and deeply dehumanizing—especially when no ethical or professional wrongdoing has occurred.
If employees are trusted to work with integrity, they should not be treated like a risk or a spectacle at exit. Publicly escorting people out sends a clear message: respect ends the moment employment does. If an organization cannot offer a humane and respectful goodbye, it should reconsider how it defines “values” and “culture.”
This experience makes it difficult to believe that employees are truly respected as people. Perhaps the mission needs reflection—because how employees are treated in their most vulnerable moments reveals the real values of a company.
Mercenaries??
So we are mercenaries if we prefer to work from home? He didn't even answer the question that was asked and then said we are an in-person company. No we aren't. Haven't been for awhile but gotta get those mercenaries into the office so we don't waste money on all our corporate real estate. No issue with coming into the office a few days a week but to call us mercenaries is a ludicrous thing to say. Do better Rick.
Merit and RRP a Joke here!
We are being told if you are a 3 or a 4 this year for your merit increase expect somewhere from a 0-1%, what kind of a joke is this company (doesn’t even cover inflation here in Texas) yet they give those a*holes at the top millions of dollars in bonuses…
RRP somewhere in the realm of 70%, this company expects you to put in 100% effort while paying you pennies, are we in China? So my advice to everyone, milk your job and do the bare minimum.
Share Value Destruction Award goes to.....

Today Marked Six Months Since I Was Laid Off (FE-HSE)
Today marked six months since I was laid off.
I realized it in a strange way. I got in my car to grab coffee and, out of pure habit, drove straight to work. I was already pulling into the parking garage when it hit me: oh sht, I don’t work here anymore. I turned around and drove home.
When my wife asked where I’d been, I told her I was just driving and thinking. And I was. I thought about the people who were laid off before me, some of them were ten times the employee I ever was. They didn’t lose their jobs because of performance; they lost them because of bravado, politics, being labeled “too much,” or because the wrong VP didn’t like them. Most of them have landed great roles at other Fortune 100 companies.
My wife suggested I reach out to them, to call or email and ask for help. I told her I’d be surprised if any of them even responded. The truth is, several of them had reached out to me when they were let go, and I stayed silent. I didn’t want them back then. They felt like competition.
A lot of the people who stayed weren’t chosen for the quality of their work, but for who they knew, and honestly, being female or non-white didn’t hurt either. I’ve reached out to friends still at Chevron. No response. I’ve reached out to people who were laid off before me. No response.
I call them friends, but maybe we never were. Maybe we were just people using each other until there was no value left, and then we were discarded.
Right now, I feel like I’m walking alone, and it feels terrible. I made a lot of money as a 26+, but it’s lonely at the top (if you call 26+ the top), and it hurts to know people are calling you an a--hole behind your back. I tell myself “fu-k them,” but it still hurts.
It really hurts. I keep wishing I had been a genuine friend instead of just a company friend. I wish I had lived out the faith I claimed, instead of being a “corporate Christian,” saying the right things for appearances. Lately, everything hurts. I’ve done a lot of soul-searching, but I still feel empty.
office politics
I’m being increasingly iced out by an SVP — removed from key business calls, not receiving responses, and no longer being included in important projects. Visibility and opportunities now appear limited to a small group who closely follow directives and have direct access to the SVP.
" RTW " = right to win or recurring train wreck - I'll let ya'll decide
Farce, folly, or felony ?
C-Suite Has Money. What they desperately want is respect.
Give them none.
Skeletor, Cuervo Swerve-O, and SD have no compunction about making our experience as employees worse. From cutting our 401k match to delusional AI boosterism, they've demonstrated they are incapable of leading.
Mock them for the hacks they are whenever you can.
