LinkedIn Template for Layoffs

For those of us impacted by the greatest economy of all time and it’s not even close, here’s a LinkedIn template for your layoff with gratitude, grace and a pivot for what’s next!

Thrilled to share a growth opportunity I didn’t see coming.

I’ve been impacted by a recent layoff, and while this wasn’t the outcome I originally envisioned, I’m choosing to see it as a powerful reset and realignment moment.

Endless gratitude to Verizon for the journey, the incredible people, and the experiences that shaped me into the thought leader I am today. Nothing but appreciation as I close this chapter.

Now it’s time to lean into what’s next. The market is…dynamic, and this transition may come with trade-offs—whether that’s compensation, benefits, PTO, or starting fresh without tenure. But growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones.

I’m energized by the chance to rebuild, reimagine, and reinvent.

Because sometimes you don’t get what you wanted—you get what you need.

Open to opportunities. Ready to add value. Let’s connect!

You know why there won’t be any significant lay offs?

Because this state is driving young adults out with zero affordability. Boston rent is off the charts, it’s unsustainable here.
The governor has not met a tax she didn’t like we are quite literally being squeezed and taxed to death here.
So don’t worry you won’t be laid off you’ll just be drained of all your money here. The only reason Fidelity still has HQ here is because of her massive real estate holdings. Even billionaires don’t like to lose money.
If things don’t turn around fiscally here we all may be forced between Texas and keeping our jobs or taxes and bleeding money to stay afloat. And I’ve got fairly deep seven figures invested and I’m worried!

Well I said I would never come back but did. Big mistake.

I retired from exxon making 220k at 55. I could not stand it anymore. I said I would never work for this dysfunctional s heet show again. Well they offered me a contractor position through an agency. My pay was only half at 120k per year. They told me I would not have to deal with all the BS forms, moc, procurement, and training cr-p. I got put under a young female supervisor and she immediately started lecturing me about performance and expectations. I was simply there to help with engineering designs and reviews. This supervisor knew nothing of engineering and only knew exxon bruacracy. I was asked to perform some saftey tasks and lab inspections. I told my overlord it was not part of my duties and I was to do engineering work. She told me I was being insubordinate and she would delegate my tasks. It was all downhill from there. Since I was familiar with gmocs I was instructed to initiate several because the new engineers did know how to complete them. The supervisor was getting very angry at me complaining that I was taking too long on tasks. I quit 3 months into my failed return to exxon. The supervisor was pi---d and told me that I would never work at exxon again and I was on the black list for hiring. I told her to stick the job up her ar-e and I never wanted to work at exxon in my life. The contract company was pi---d as well and told me I could not work for them again. I do not want to work anymore. My treatment was the worst by this individual. I wanted to punch the s heet out of her. The power went to her head and she treated me like a child. I knew it was a mistake but I was bored and thought I could do work that I liked. This is just my story and hope it helps others not make the same mistake. I might just volunteer some where to stay busy.

Declaring layoff while interview

Hi, got laid off a month ago , on my garden leave, do you guys mention about your layoff while interview, I understand they would found out..and it's not about hiding, frankly if they specifically ask I would be truthful but otherwise if they found out later background check would that be a red flag?

Layoffs end of month

My understanding is there will be another round of layoffs end of this month with the end date being middle of June. It is possible it slightly gets pushed back but from what I’m hearing they want the list locked and announced end of month. Optum insight and optum health for sure will be impacted.

Have that resume ready. It is
Not your fault. You all deserve a better company to work for.

QCI randomly scheduled for Thursday.

Like many folks at Fidelity, most people don’t have a separate QCI meetings but those managers randomly schedules a QCI this Thursday can only mean one thing. RIF. The RIFs have been verified by multiple sources who have access to high level management. I got the random QCI invite this morning which coincides with managers getting the list of people on the list. Stay strong. Nothing we can do but move forward and hope Abby can catch up to the 3 trillionaires in the world while destroying countless families who have elevated her there.

Any updates to Directors and Staff VPs getting hit during May and June rifs?

Following up on a previous post about Directors being required to list what they do to earn their paychecks. Anyone heard anything new on this? "Was asked to put in four bullets what my role is with metrics supporting it? Can’t say “Oversees” or anything high level. Is Director level being hit next?"
