If you genuinely believe it’s nonsense, start saving copies of anything that supports your performance such are emails, annual reviews, awards, praise from mgrs, anything showing you were doing well. once you’re let go, you will lose access to all of it, and things will become hard to find if you decde to challenge it legally. Also, if u end up using unemployment check whether your state offers a training or careerchange program near the end of your benefits. U usually only get to use it once so choose carefully. I used it as a stepping stone into a new career. Larned a lot at Cisco but it was an ugly divorce for me.

I worked doing UM review going on 5 years, but no contract no job. I decided to stay with company on a different team, WORSE mistake EVER! They allow managers to speak to their subordinates any way they want, I asked for additional training and was cussed out on teams, so not as if it was my personal phone, not once, but a total of four different times, spoke with HR at the company level, NOTHING was done, in fact I was made to feel like I was wrong for attempting to advocate for myself fell on deaf ears do I left and I’m happily employed by a different MCO with a pay raise, supportive environment, and just better in every way! Upsets me that I had five years seniority and to start over, but I’m much happier just disgusted that a reputable company like Anthem wants to preach an environment of inclusion and support for all, but when it came time to back up that philosophy they fell very, very short.

Now, we’re starting to get phone calls from these “advocates” at Innisfree M&A (look them up) to also try to get us to sign over our rights. Sketchy stuff.
So obviously the company is desperate because they have something unpopular they want to push through at the next shareholders meeting. What is it? Other than a fat executive compensation package, what would the company be trying to push that they need the employees’ shares (a minority position) to get through?

One of the things I don’t understand from our reps though is the gate keeping of our contract, I’ve heard a few times about refusal to get a copy of the contract.
We should all have the opportunity to get a copy so we can enforce the contract and hold management and each other accountable.

Dell UK workers are organising
Dell workers in the UK are currently in active discussions with the CWU and UTAW and senior Labour MPs to secure trade union recognition.
For too long, inaccurate information has circulated within Dell UK claiming that Dell does not recognise trade unions. This is false. UK law is clear and gives workers the right to organise and to be represented by a trade union.
The legal process is as follows:
1. A trade union must formally request voluntary recognition from the employer. This request will be made within the next two weeks.
2. If Dell refuses voluntary recognition, the union has the legal right to apply to the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) for statutory recognition.
To win statutory recognition, we must show that a majority of UK employees support union recognition, and that at least 10% of the workforce are union members. If an application is rejected, the law prevents us from applying again for three years. This makes it critical that we stand together and get this right the first time.
All UK workers are asking for is the same protections, voice, and representation already enjoyed by colleagues covered by workers’ councils.
In the coming weeks, leaflets and posters will be shared across UK sites with more information on how to get involved. Under UK law, workers have the right to trade union representation. The decision on whether Dell UK has a recognised trade union belongs to workers, not executive leadership.
Now is the time to organise.
