Last week higher mgmt called me and just straight up told me to stop coming in. Told me I’ll receive my notice in writing in the new year and I’ll receive a few months of pay. Benefits will last until EOY. Ummmmmmm is this normal??? Where’s the formality? I can’t even tell if i was fired or let go or punk’d. Can someone please advise on what I should do? Going to file for unemployment now I guess……..

Hopeful stories after layoffs
I was thinking recently about a few folks who were cut last year and ended up landing on their feet in surprising ways. One started freelancing and now earns more with half the stress, and another moved abroad and rebuilt her whole routine. Knowing examples like that helps me see that losing a job is not the end of the road. Knowing full well I might be next, hearing about real wins keeps me grounded. Any sign that life can turn in a better direction helps right now.
Intel is the easiest place to work for talkers and low technical people, while hard working talents are slaved and bullied
Easiest company for those stupid and political managers.

Quick Update On The Soap in BH
Hi all just wanted to give a quick update on the hand soap in BH. It appears that “they” have halted all water-down operations.
The soap is back to normal.
Perhaps the compliant raised on this site prior made a difference. Just goes to show you want voicing your opinion on an anonymous forum can achieve.
I encourage everyone to voice your opinion on the matters most important to you! #fisvproud
Positive BNY story
I spent years in BNY, hopping around different departments. I never had some grand master plan — I just kept saying yes to new things, even when they made me uncomfortable. Eventually I landed in a certain role, and that’s where things really kicked off. The pace, the learning, the exposure… it shot my progress forward faster than I ever expected.
And here’s the mad part: that role ended up opening the door to a new job somewhere else — with a salary jump so big that if I told people the number, they’d probably laugh in my face.
I worked with some cracking people and a few brilliant leaders in BNY. Culture? Absolutely rough at times. Still, it taught me a lot. Sometimes the hard environments are the ones that push you out of your comfort zone in the best possible way.
What I’ve learned:
You grow the most when you’re a bit uncomfortable.
Learn everything you can while you’re there.
It is possible to get a massive pay rise in there but only if you make yourself valuable.
Don’t let anyone tell you progress has to be slow or modest.
I’m very happy with the move, grateful for the journey, and honestly still a bit stunned at how much life can change when you quietly keep your head down, get really good, and back yourself.
Remember this Feeling next Time…
Remember this feeling of being Discarded, remember the betrayal that had NOTHING to do with your performance or metrics. Remember how easily they threw you to the trash can once it became expedient— remember it before you sacrifice yourself again climbing the corporate ladder and neglect your family, health and pursuing your own dreams for the sake of giving more to the Company. In the end they don’t give a DAMMMN about you, it’s all about the shareholders, Execs and appeasing Wall Street. The rest of us are easily discarded like used toilet paper once they have finished wiping their ŠŠŠ with you.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Not much to be thankful for, but at least we still have a job, right?
Joining Citi was a mistake
Work life balance left the building the day I accepted this role. Meetings bleed into evenings and weekends, and by Monday I’m already exhausted. If anyone has tips on reclaiming time, I’m all ears.
Allstate treats people like disposable parts
They act like loyalty is optional and cost cutting is the only strategy. It’s demoralizing to know someone cheaper is always lining up for your job.
Feeling betrayed. Don’t be tone deaf to us being laid off.
I posted this in a comment but deserves its own post.

“True happiness is worth more than money, possessions, or job status.” but money pays the bills, possessions clothe us and feed us, job status showcases our talent and makes us useful in today’s world.
So. Yes, I am very upset. I can’t feed my family or pay my mortgage with happiness. My husband got laid off from his job in the summer and he hasn’t found anything else. So we have NO comfortable income very soon. I am scared. I am feeling unprotected and betrayed. Stop telling not to feel this way.
I'm shocked this place is still standing
When I left three years ago, I was certain it wouldn't live this long. I just hope things have improved for employees, because it still remains the most toxic place I've ever worked at.
People have had enough
I have seen a surprising number of coworkers walk away without anything lined up. That says a lot about how rough things have gotten. When people would rather deal with uncertainty than stay here, it really hits you how bad the situation is right now.
Hostile work environment
We went from a place I enjoyed working at to a place I can't wait to leave in just a few years. I'm not sure what caused the complete shift in culture, but it happened and I know I'm far from the only one who noticed this. I don't know many people who're not currently looking for alternatives.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Make sure you take time to enjoy family and friends, eat some good food, enjoy some good entertainment. True happiness is worth more than money, possessions, or job status. Hug your significant other, tell your children how much you love them, reach out to your parents, aunts, uncles etc... Jobs come and go friends and family last forever.

Thanks for the entertainment in your LinkedIn post.
Boohoo people talked about your accent and then you spent all the time talking about your skirt no one cares about
How about mentioning your incompetence at not knowing employee counts and lost all credibility with the whole company or that you are now calling out internal comments on a public forum and inferring intel is discriminatory. Posting internal company photos.
Disappointed that you didn’t mention your personal issues to get more likes on social media. Wha about ….
Time to admit you are not up for the job and resign

Well-Being Walkout. 17 Aug, 2026
It can still happen
Corp Risk Leader
They are not kind individuals. Simply observe the town hall meeting that SM conducted last week. She treated each of her reports as if they were children, or even more aptly, as though she were the almighty. Mocking every one as if she were all-powerful. Behind closed doors, she is as unpleasant as they come. She must have learned it from her direct superior. Drain the swamp!
Worn down
I have worked at a few places, but this one takes the prize for how drained it leaves me. You can put in steady effort and still walk away feeling invisible. Folks talk about support, yet no one shows it when it matters. Lately I feel like I am just pushing through the days to get by.
How's everybody feeling?
It's Monday, and I'm still depressed and nonproductive. The weekend was no better. I hope other's are having a better day.
Executive Board is vindictive towards employees
Layoffs are a distraction to allow the executive board to maximize their own bonuses. And their actions are vindictive towards employees.
The share price is plummeting and is likely to drop below $200 soon. SAP's AI initiative Joule is receiving poor feedback from customers and has less than 5% active adoption rate within SAP. Recent acquisitions like Signavio, Leanix and Walkme seem more focused on pushing their DEI agendas than an actual integration. Development managers are being replaced by hr personnel in HPOM. There is a disconnect in projected profiles due to high order volumes but extremely low adoption rates and upsell. Competitors are justifiably taking legal action over clear instances of copying and infringement. Meanwhile the budget for annual salary appraisals is slashed to an all-time low and there are rumors that bonuses will be capped at 50% next year. The new performance management is giving more power to bad managers and only employees who have a good relationship with their managers can now expect a decent bonus. Free cash flow is funneled into share buybacks, dividends and hefty bonuses for the executive board. Less cash means that employee benefits will lower even further in 2026.
In any other organization, such a situation would trigger a complete board overhaul and the establishment of a solid long-term strategy aimed at stabilizing stock prices and fostering growth over the next five years.
But not at SAP. The executive board seems more inclined to discuss further layoffs and say derogatory and controversial statements in every interaction. Despite all this, they will get the highest bonuses ever.
There are simply NO CONSEQUENCES for their actions. It's disheartening to witness a dysfunctional executive board that prioritizes its own interests over the company's well-being and employee trust.
Accenture
I found this interesting. It is from Reddit. So our Accenture replacements don't necessarily come here with solid work experience as they used to expect from people applying to work at TROWE. In between assignments they encourage their workers to learn enough about various things to get past an interview. Learning a few random bits and actually doing something are two separate things.
"I'm on the bench now, I'm been here since 4 weeks I think. I had a call with my PL and she said that I have to study more because I was failing in every interview. I was interviewed twice only, and It was for roles really out of my experience... they want to staff me no matter what. I felt pointed, you know? Like if I fail a third or fourth time, I'm out... The worst part is that I'm a new joiner, this Is my second month here... so I feel frustrated and very disappointed about the company. Need advice :("

Happy Holidays
Hi Folks
Thanks for all your hard work and efforts through the year, without you we would be nowhere. I meant even without paying you were still in business.
I know your complaining about the pay, and last minute holiday debacle but the HR women isnt upto it, still we got her an award, we know where to spend the money.
Us execs are doing are last flights and free trips, i meant holidays, around the world for this year. Phew clocked up some points.
Ignore the ten 10 other happy holidays emails your going to get as were spending your money.
Best wishes R & Cam
Burnout
Anyone else burned out? Skeleton crews, no coverage, questions about things we have no control over, no training... It's getting old
What’s all this fuss about layoffs!!
I don’t understand this! Whats all this fuss about layoffs happening? There has been no such indication about layoffs. I’ve seen newly hired college grads in BH recently. They are already cutting costs by hiring them (affordable resource)instead of laying off experienced ones.
Its thanksgiving! People have families and don’t want to live in the state of constant fear.
Tldr: No layoffs hinted or happening in BH and let ppl live peacefully!
Who's still here at 3 a.m.?
I think I'll just sleep through the entire weekend once this is over.
Outsider point of view
This company does not demonstrate genuine support for its onshore employees. Although they offer retention bonuses to individuals acquired from other organizations it is not fairly across the board, they simultaneously create conditions that make it extremely difficult for employees to fulfill their contractual obligations eliminating their retention bonuses obligations. The strict “no bench time” policy, combined with the expectation of securing billable hours immediately, before assignment ends results in employees facing the threat of termination through no fault of their own. Employees submit multiple internal applications submitted with large amount of rejections.
I strongly advise caution when considering employment at Deloitte. The constant pressure to find the next billable assignment creates an environment of ongoing stress and instability. It is counterproductive for the company to acquire skilled, intelligent employees only to undermine their tenure and contributions. From the outside looking in, Deloitte’s constant rotation of employees can make it seem as though they are trying to hide their inability to properly support projects
Additionally, there are concerns regarding the company’s independence, as employees are often pushed toward using preferred partner vendors from which the company appears to financially gain. Dictating what companies you can do business with.
Perks
Do you all get any perks? We're a core team in Brokerage, responsible for one of Abby's three goals flashing on the TV these days. Yet, no team lunches whatsoever. After our persistent complaints, our scrum master (great guy!) organized a Pizza team lunch, out of his own pocket later we learned!
Meanwhile, other perks such as AWS ReInvent tickets, this and that training camps... the leaders are kept among themselves.
Wondering is it the norm or where I am su-ks?
Be cautious.
Be cautious of what you take from this forum -- there is a bias. People paranoid, with a negative mindset, or disgruntled are more likely to be on here -- that should be obvious.
Additionally anyone can post on here -- and if a Chinese group went through the trouble hack into the company, then this is low hanging fruit for any country that wants to cause chaos in the US economy. Just pop on an anonymous forum, and spew off rumors about upcoming layoffs -- incredibly easy way to manipulate the stock market.
I fu--ing HATE this cesspool
I regret the moment I decided to join QCOM. My health is getting worse every day I spend here.
Leaving is not a simple decision. I have been here for a year. Jumping ships would me look unemployable and the job market su-ks anyways.
I feel trapped.
What a fun weekend this was
What a fun weekend this turned into, with me refreshing this page nonstop while chugging chamomile just to keep my nerves from going completely wild, only to spend half my time running to the bathroom from all the tea. It felt like an endless loop of checking updates, stressing, and trying to calm down, and I probably slept five or six hours total the entire weekend. The only thing that made it even a little easier was knowing there were other people going through the same thing, and there’s real comfort in not feeling completely alone in it.

Does anyone in Fire or Auto claims even care?
This place is a total sh-t hole. My sister works in Fire and hates her job and I'm in Total Loss and it is a complete disaster. It's not my Team Manager but his my crazy SM and CM that cause constant chaos. My poor TM looks like a scolded dog every day and tries not to take it out on us but really has no choice. This place has become so d-mbed down it's almost impossible to even have an intelligent conversation with most people. Clown show all over. I feel almost dirty when I sign off every day.
How worried are you about your job? On a scale of one to 10
For me, it’s a 10. I’m extremely worried that I won’t have a job next week.
This CHRO post from 6 months ago aged well 😂😂😂
“Momentum. That’s the best way to describe our 1Q 2025 results. We had a strong start to the year, and the V Team didn’t miss a beat.
✨ We took big and bold swings with new experiences, products and plans to give our customers more of what they want and need.
✨ We also showed our appreciation for our employees with our first-ever V Team Day, and we will continue to celebrate how our people are the power behind our purpose.
And here’s the best part….there’s so much more to come in 2025 and beyond. We have built Verizon to be number one, and that means we are focused each and every day on making our best even better.
In fact, I would say we are just getting warmed up. So watch this space 👀 .
V Teamers – please take a moment to celebrate your role in our 1Q results because we wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you for everything <3
P.S. Huge shout-out and welcome to our new retail team members. It was great to meet you today! 🙌 🙌
