anyone else freaked out the team voice sent out?
I didn’t receive it but some people on my team did, wondering if this means i’m on the block for the morning or if it just random (and insanely tone deaf)
Meeting scheduled for Wednesday?
My leader has a meeting scheduled with the team on Wednesday for update on HQ changes. Does that mean we're safe from layoff?
Poor Performers
I have noticed during my time here that HQ has a really high tolerance for poor performers. We definitely have a few in my area that just skate by and hardly put in any effort. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they all survive Tuesday. Management protects them so much. Is this toxic cultural trait common on a lot of teams?
For those in Merch
How we feeling?
Everyone keeps saying our org will get the deepest hit.
My team specifically was even mentioned on here….
What's the latest on Nov 18th rumor?
There's a buzz new round of changes are coming ONCE AGAIN to people's manager.
Chapter leads, group chapter leads, delivery team leads are going to have new fancy titles.
Not sure what's the future for associates level 5-7.
Anyone knows what's the new team structure?
Value segment
Keep value segment and RIFs the Verizon teams. We have and will always be better than verizon. They want to pretend they know or understand what we do and Clearly they know nothing about prepaid. Heck, they can't get even get their Accounting system synchronized to be ran soley by Verizon..very telling of how incompetent Verizon is..they need us not the other way around.
Which teams have been hit?
I’ve seen some people mentioning Finance. Who else?
Good luck to us all.
What happened to the US VXrail team? i don't see them around anymore
I was trying to look up some colleagues who worked on VxRail, but it seems they’re no longer at Dell. What happened to the U.S. team?
Everyone on my team is running the business as usual; no one is talking about layoffs, weird...
Currently, I'm a tech support engineer for a Fusion team that supports an Oracle product for our customers. I don't want to go into too much detail, but no one seems to be worried, why??????? Are they stupid or is it just me that is realizing its time to look for something else.....
We have already lost a few members of our team, and while we have a lot of work and its draining, I feel that since they implemented their new AI support tool, our days here may be numbered.
I have a backup plan, but is it safe to assume that the layoffs are over in the US? Should I focus on upskilling and looking for something else? My gut tells me it might be time to leave Oracle.
Is San leandro office closing and moving the teams to concord?
Heard that San leandro location will close and teams will move to concord.
Is this only for few teams or entire san leandro office is going to be closed and all teams will be moving to concord location ?
IBM cloud team
I was on HCL IBM Cloud Team. The project wasn't going well. IBM was wanting us to support 10 different companies that all wanted different forms of support and all wanted their tickets done differently. On top of this it was very high volume. Often on a call with one company and chat with different company simultaneously. I found it to be difficult. I was curious if HCL still has that project. When I gave notice, others were also quitting.
Anonymous disability assistance is not anonymous
I applied for a software program for my disability. The HR site said my team or boss would not be notified - it's confidential. Fast forward a year and boss takes an accounting of all software charged to team account. "Hey, what's this? It's assigned to you?"
Lead on my team doesn’t do any work
Need peoples opinion on this. Some background I joined this team about a year ago as an analyst. I noticed some things off for example this persons yapping in meetings saying they’re gonna finish a project on a certain date but then deliver it late consistently. Also noticed some brown nosing.
This person was offline on slack too quite often. Fast forward the manager offloaded their high visibility projects to me.
Now here’s where I have resentment. This persons work is not visible and I don’t believe he does any work at all. What baffles me is the manager allows it. Other people on our team pull their weight but not this person. This has been going on for a year. How could this be? Why would a manager allow this to happen it’s quite obvious he barely does any work.
Any thoughts?
My small team is in a "too good to be true" situation
I don’t want to jinx it, but we’re paid well, have flexible hours, the work is interesting, and our manager, who’s genuinely great and has no reason to lie, keeps telling us we’re safe. Still, something about how perfect it all seems makes me uneasy. I’ve read too many stories of people who thought everything was great, only to have the rug yanked out from under them. Should I worry or am I being an id--t?
Any department / team that is thriving?
Do you know if there is any department or a team that is still thriving at SAS?
Team and position
Do we have an idea of the teams most likely to be affected (OCI / OCC / support / ...) and the type of position (sales / pre-sales / support / ...) to anticipate the EEA layoffs?
I keep noticing the same thing
Some execs call layoffs “cutting fat,” but what I see is them hacking away at entire teams that actually build the product, then acting surprised when everything starts breaking. It’s clear self-destruction for reasons that I can't even begin to fathom.
More clarity soon?
I wonder if there will be more clarity soon? Seems like there still needs to be some things figured out with how teams are aligned now.
No Meeting yet, not sure how to feel
Seeing impacts on my team but no meeting set yet. The anxiety continues for another day I guess.
I’d have only one real regret if I’m laid off
My team. When I joined four years ago, I landed in the best team I’ve ever worked with in my entire career. Not only was there zero toxicity, which is rare enough, but people genuinely had each other’s backs. We weathered countless crises and pressures simply because we stuck together. It’s been a truly unique experience, and I wish we could stay intact as a team, though I know that’s unlikely now. Whatever happens, I wish us all luck. And I hope we can keep it together mentally before this whole thing is behind us.
How is digital supporting Access platform?
I’m considering leaving a competitor bank for JPMC to work as product manager supporting Access platform in commercial banking. What are the culture and teams like? I support a digital commercial platform as a product owner currently at a competitor bank.
75 pos to be added
Per meeting with director today 75 pos are looking to be added to FTC ABS/Amisys teams for the 3rd and 4th qtr...seems like a lot. These pos will be internal and external applicants.
Ferrero dedicated team
Worked for Crossmark then we were acquired by Acosta and as soon as Ferreros fiscal year was up we all had a mandatory conference call on August 1st and we were all laid off. Acosta did state we were able to apply for other positions in the company but just like nothing we all were dropped. The kicker was that I was actually on a short term medical leave and due to the fact I was only on week 2 I did not receive said benefits and then was let go.
How would you describe your feelings about CEO being let go today?
happy, relieved, panicked, or conflicted?

It takes a team.....this weekend, we celebrate our 40th anniversary. In the attached article, I share my thoughts on the critical role a partner plays in a successful career and more importantly, the value of family! #career #team #family
Is this you living in la la land?
You may believe in devine right, but technology nor business doesn’t. They didn’t care about GM, IBM, Kodak, Blackberry, Motorola, GE, IBM nor Intel.
No amount of Government Subsidies or whiny National security and big Honking Fabs and having more concrete trucks than anyone else can fix Humpty Dumpty when TMG is so broken.
“ I am still amazed to be in my dream job. Love the energy and enthusiasm on the Intel Board of Directors. Thanks Omar Ishrak and team for your partnership. #team #intel”
Get a raise, it’s the same reason garbage collectors and outhouse cleaners make a lot of money for what they do too. You do dirty work all around smelly $hit. You could go elsewhere and do better and it is less smelly, only way to get you not to leave for better jobs, pay you more duh, the outlook is so poor at Intel compared to say AMD, Qualcomm, Microsoft or Nvidia if you are chip design. So much better at Synopsis or Cadence if your are in EDA, or Amazon or Microsoft or Google in software etc. of course if you are TMG you are really an id--t to say. They may build big honking fabs but you are in the cesspool of failure compared to Samsung and TSMC. Look only at GE or IBM and that is Intel’s future, but hey it was worth the raise, don’t look in the mirror to closely, you might not like what you see.
Look what clowns CEO needs to say this ?
