P&I leadership wiped out

Difficult day today for us old P&I staffers....seems like our entire MGT team has been wiped out. Tammy's reign of fire is upon us. I'm gonna believe her heart is in the right place but I'm in the minority. The mess that Deb Thorpe created (why was she feted so much when she left???) has finally come to bite us in the a-s. I don't feel good about where we're heading, gang.

WF outsourcing is a complete FAIL.....

Folks who've worked at WF for years know what I'm talking about. Take a great idea in theory, use the WF way, and F it all up!!!!

WF 1ndia is a classic case. They took lower cost staff as the reason to outsource. Yet, WF built huge campuses over there. They hired a TON of staff over there. As most know, 3 of them do the work of 1 of us. And guess what, over there being in MGMT is sorta like being an emperor. (OK, sultan for them). So, if you take a look WF 1ndia is top heavy now with tons and tons of top and middle MGMT. And, don't forget all the junket flights WF execs take every few months to go there and "meet".

If you think they are flying coach, think again!! Any flight that is over 5 hours puts the flyer in business or first class, every time.

All this adds up to tremendous overhead and costs. Ask me, and I'd opine that these costs have made the 1ndia bloat super big at WF. To the point, its actually cheaper to hire USA staff. Yep. You heard it here first. Let's not even get into the political things like BRICS and how 1ndia is hanging with our adversaries. Nope, no one thought of that.....LMAO

Employee Survey results by level

I would love to see Employees results by line item starting with Director up, AD’s we already know kiss the ring. Folks should propose that since it is (ha ha) Anonymous. Then I bet 100% not one has the kahuna’s to say the truth and be all butter cuz they live to the standards of my house is bigger than yours, my new Benz is better than your Bentley. My kids college costs me 250k a year.God forbid they told how they really feel because then their kids in college about to get hired by ATT would not. No different than the obvious ethnic pulling in, even married in the same org.

Been a week of flash calls

We had 3 flash calls this week already since compson announcement last week.

Enterprise, architects and squad leads role definitions have changed along with key leadership roles.

Still the ba----ds say, we will have more information in next 4-6 weeks.

Wtf fido, why can’t you let an associate work in peace????

Sick ba----ds!!!

Penny's Page 10/13/25

In Penny's Page dated 10/13/25 it talked about the concept of Ikigai. For those who do not waste their time reading Penny's garbage anymore Ikigai is the intersection of doing what you love, doing what the world needs, getting paid for what you are doing, and doing what you are great at. Penny has either forced people into the unemployment line or has demoted people who once obtained Ikigai. Let's review this for a second. Those people no longer do what they love as they are either unemployed or are now working for a firm and leaders they do not trust and no longer love. The ones who have been laid off are no longer doing what the world needs. The ones who have been demoted are still doing what the world needs as they are still serving their clients who they love despite the failed leadership. The people who Penny has laid off are no longer getting paid for what they do. The demoted people are no longer being paid what they deserve for doing what they do. The people Penny laid off are no longer doing what they had become great at after years of perfecting their craft. Many of the demoted associates have been placed on teams without any direction as to what their function will be due to poor restructuring leadership. I find it laughable how Penny's Page is talking about Ikigai when Penny is doing anything but promoting Ikigai. I also noticed company cheerleader (that is all she is good for), JK, was on the panel talking about this false concept at Edward Jones. The article also brings up that if you feel like you are too small to make a difference you have not spent a night with a mosquito. Well, that is absolutely true. The mosquito is the most deadly animal on earth to humans. At Edward Jones Penny is the mosquito.

When will we get official communication?

With a few dates being thrown around - 10/20 and 10/28 - will we receive some sort of message/communication from Brian or Michael in the next few days explaining the "why" behind the cuts and the official numbers, or are they just going to let it ride and send out another poorly thought out message after the fact?

Now the constant threats make sense.

From Entrepreneur

Michael Dell Encourages Leaders to 'Make a Crisis' — Even If There Isn't One Already. Here's Why.
The 60-year-old CEO of Dell Technologies says crises motivate employees and bring about necessary changes.
——
This is the fastest way to create burnout. Apply pressure with no end while the CEO is on a private 787 jetting between on vacation spot to another. I’m sorry Michael, but this is not playing nice.

Looking for a change

I’ve given my department too many chances and it’s starting to be foolish for me to stay and expect different.

Are there departments at the firm where if you ask a manager for help, they will actually be there to help not just blab on about the nonsense “I want to make sure you get the support you need” then being the biggest waste of time.

I thought about it and at first it made me mad that managers would always try to “put that back on you” but now i understand they just don’t know how to find the answers and aren’t willing to do any actual work.

Are there team out there where a manager will actually benefit the team and be there to offer guidance not just the fluff “support” that is a filler word for just ignoring you

Streaming Tech and etc

Okay, I never post on here, I usually just lurk. I work in finance, so while I don’t know all the HR specifics, I do know a fair bit.

Firstly, a lot of what’s being said on this forum is complete nonsense. Honestly, it’s been flooded with people who clearly aren’t staff and don’t know what they’re talking about.

Secondly, yes — changes are coming. Everyone knows that (if you pretend it's not, you are an id--t!). There are major shifts ahead for streaming tech, which was under VH. In the short term, reporting might be moving to PW, but don’t read too much into that! From what I understand, PW isn’t actually taking over streaming tech. Reporting lines don’t always mean much.

And let’s be real- just because DE says he “believes in streaming” doesn’t mean he believes in the staff already working here. We have to accept that LE's son would rather outsource than build and justify an internal team. - He wants his investment back at some point!

"Leadership"

How long do we have to endure MW and MN? Their presence is like a lingering infestation—impossible to shake. They've clearly lost the confidence of both the team and the supporters. At some point, leadership has to be held accountable. A head coach who deflects all blame onto the players while basking in media attention as if he's the savior is not a leader—he’s a liability.

Effort

If you're still giving 100% to Chevron, it's time to ask yourself: why?

Show yourself some respect and match their effort—which is basically zero. Some will say, “But I have a strong work ethic.” That’s admirable, but let’s be real: they don’t care about you.

Would a company that cares:

Slash mental health coverage during a mental health crisis?

Lie to its employees about the future?

Protect executive perks while laying off the people who actually do the work?

Call itself a “proud American company” while offshoring thousands of jobs to India?

No? Then stop pretending they deserve your loyalty. I’m on minimum viable effort until this so-called “leadership” is gone. They’ve earned nothing more.

Earnings report 5.1b in revenue

I just cannot wait to tell my team they are getting 1% merits and minimal bonuses yet the earnings reports shows massive growth for the company. Ranking 25% of my staff below expectations, in a non growth everett location all my promos denied. Lovely to have to explain this to them soon at comp talks. Thanks RV making our job so great! But hey!!! We have Eliza !

SLT sabotage

How does this SLT look itself in the mirror? Long time, bleeding red Xerox people let go today while all the C level execs grab a raise and pad their exit plan. Congrats to Steve, Pastor, Mirlanda etc for running an icon into the ground. Re-invention is horsesh*t. Xerox is dead.

What has Andy Jassy done? Let's see..

  • Silent and regular layoffs! Fired and rehired new employees for less for the holidays.
  • Took a peculiar dump on the principle of Customer Obsession.
  • Mandated RTO with apparently no planning.
  • Pushed gross profit to AI data centers.
  • Violated rights of disabled workers.
  • Dismissed Microsoft and Google AI as ‘hype cycle’
  • Forced people to uproot their lives, relocate.
  • Gave $8B treat to Anthropic.
  • Took cumulative compensation of $500 million.

Nothing changes

After all the feedback, the Speak ups, the expressions of discontent- nothing changes. The CPO, VP of Operations and snakey HRBP (we all know who …k.a.) — still there. What a shame. AMN used to be a company that cared about its employees but those three have spread their greed and power tripping attitudes and toxicity wide and far. No longer am I proud to work at AMN. I’m disgusted and am biding my time until I can leave them high and dry. I have no desire to be associated with those three and am ashamed to even be a part of the HR team. I don’t know what more can be said before any action is taken. Probably take a lawsuit…. Well, be ready because that’s coming.

Virtuals are next. Move to a HUB’a

You folks need to go like Stankey said, plenty of hybrid and virtual. They say a hub but San Ramon is what, what about Missouri, etc and why are AVPs not all in Dallas that was the big press that went under the carpet to which they are not even in hubs, why how did they get the pass card. The company is going to the 1980’s punch card style basically and they don’t care. This SBC style outsource and project managers is underway., you do know ATT was basically bankrupt and SBC bought the name. FACT!! The glory and fixing some locations is a fools game otherwise they know folks would leave in bunches, so out with old and in with book smart maybe that. They hire someone that’s says they have a bachelor degree from a third world country that’s behind armed guards but it’s an accredited school but not USA credited since cost is cheap and so are getting degrees by sliding some local currency to the professors. What has happened to your company and who is really running it since most leadership are less than 6 years from other companies so they left or booted out

SPS Discussions?

Is anyone having meaningful discussions about the SPS results? With organizational leadership as low as it is, the LT response continues to be something along the lines of, “well we’re going through a reorg so that’s why we’re rated low.” That’s been the message since 2020. Does anyone have any thoughts around how to get the message to land when there is an actual bad leader at either a VP or EVP level? Trying to brainstorm and ask for advice on how other people have tried to explain it. The notion that the SPS is our voice is gone ever since they removed the free text fields.

I know JD used to be in Nike's board before he became CEO

and Tim Cook is also on Nike board for long time.

Is there correlation between Tim Cook and Nike's braindeadness in last few years?

TC is basically ki-ling Apple with his bureaucratic approach.

Anyone who says that Nike is not a zombie is brown noser, a Nike troll.

Just thinking out loud, my two cents worth

Hard to read some of these posts....

The management of this company is primarily responsible for the earnings and stock value presented to shareholders. Many of Wells Fargo's employees are also shareholders. It is nice to log in to the 401K account after a day like yesterday and see the numbers change positively and substantially. Yes, many times, CS and the team must make unpopular decisions, but to say this team is clueless and incapable is laughable. This is what happens in many publicly traded companies. Would you rather have a government job??

Recycled Leaders

I am not sure how some of these so called leaders make it to the top. But, that is one issue. What really boggles my mind is how so called leaders make decisions at one company. The first company turns around and reverses mistakes that leader made. Then a second company hires this leader to come to the new company and do the same thing. For example, Citi laid thousands of people off under DC's "leadership". Citi found out his vision was not sustainable. Citi has since reversed many of his decisions and hired people back. Some people have already moved on. Then what mystifies me is why does Penny Pennington and the powers that be at Edward Jones turn around and hire DC who has proven himself to be a failed leader? Penny Pennington has brought DC into the flock knowing full well that he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. DC is doing the same thing at Edward Jones that he did at Citi. I have seen many really good people who are really good at what they do get laid off to an extent that this model is unsustainable. After DC packs his bags and moves on to the next company to do the same thing Penny Pennington will have to rehire many people she and DC laid off. DC is a mercenary who goes from company to company cutting people and doing things that most people cannot do and be able to sleep at night. The first time I ever saw DC he was having a TED Talk moment in the South Campus Auditorium where he was talking about the movie Zoolander 2 of all things. He was also lecturing us about the culture of Edward Jones (people who had been there for 25-30 years). He said his favorite movie was Zoolander (that should tell you how deep of a thinker he is). He was using some salty language when he was speaking about Zoolander 2. The thing was he was saying it in front of the empty chair on the stage. As we all know the empty chair represents the client. We all have been taught to not say anything in front of the empty chair we would not say in front of a client. But, there was DC lecturing us all about Edward Jones' culture and how bad Zoolander 2 was. It was so surreal having been in the auditorium in the past listening to past managing partners like JB, DH, and JW. On the same stage years later is DC obsessing about how bad Zoolander 2 was. It was the strangest thing ever. But, this is the man Penny Pennington has hitched her wagon and her legacy to. It has become bad. It is going to continue to get worse. The Penny Pennington era at Edward Jones will be looked on as a dark time in the firm's history. When DC has done all the gutting Penny Pennington has hired him to do he will pack his bags and move on to the next company prepared to destroy the lives of the very people who built it. That is just what DC does. I guess he can sleep at night. I do not think anyone with a soul could sleep at night though. You knew who DC was when you brought him on. Shame on you, Penny Pennington, shame on you.

So predictable

We have people who can be cut who contribute absolutely nothing. People who go from one meeting to another regurgitating the same points over and over again with nothing new being said or decided. Yet the ones being cut are the people who do actual work and who bring actual knowledge to this place. Thanks again, id--ts-in-charge.

GK's Disheartening Email

So GK sends an email outlining all the super ideas garnered from surveying 1800 leaders to discuss efficiencies, communication improvements, etc. Is she completely unaware that she is talking to the people that are the problem? Why not take a page out of Jane Fraser's book at Citibank and get rid of the layer upon layer of redundant middle managers that clog up the system here. I mean really, "Bureaucracy Busters," c'mon now. These people you're talking to are the bureaucracy. Get a clue.
