Took VSP today

I have officially taken the VSP. G10 and been here for 1.5 years. ~70K. After talking to my wife and I have 2 kids, I had to take some time off. I think it will be approved. 42 yrs old. Gotta live life

Take the package and run?

Is anyone planning on taking the package and the first decent offer that comes along, then figuring the rest out later? Rather, who ISN’T planning on taking it?!? Anything to get off the rapidly sinking ship?

Any updates?

Does anyone have any updates about % impact for SATG for reduction? How about Intel Labs?

FABS FABS FABS

Pat: We need state-of-the-art fabs at Intel, at any cost! Intel employees: Yes, we do! How can we help? Pat: You are the cost.

Enhanced Retirement?

What happens if I don’t take the enhanced retirement? Would I be on the chopping block/first in line for IVS?

Intel has too many managers

We have a total of 14.7k managers who don’t do any work and get paid way more than the average employee. Cutting management size by half would result in great savings without hurting the productivity.

Worth taking Retention Bonus?

I need some advice. The company just offered me a retention bonus because of the ongoing layoffs. They value my role and experience, which is flattering, but I’m torn about what to do. On one hand, the bonus is tempting, especially since it comes... — read more

VSP: take or not?

If you have, say 17 years in, you’ll get 38.5 weeks of pay, starting October 1st. Then consider the company’s outlook: what will INTC be like over those next nine months… and beyond that timeframe… will they have another CPM action in H1’25? H2’25?... — read more

Gonna make things harder for Intel

Not going to apply for CPM VSP. Going to stop working (I am almost sure I'll be picked up for ISP in October and get the same package) and spend next 2 months job searching. No OKRs no late evenings. Bye bye manager and Intel

Hang in there!

Some things have to happen for better days to come your way. I experienced similar situation back in 2015 and how I was going to let my family know. I don't even know how I got home. Mine was ISP and I was 55 YO and within 6 months of qualifying... — read more

At least log the hours like tsmc

How can investors trust you are serious about controlling costs? The money wasted under PG could be in the same order of magnitude as Chip Act fundings. Also by taking government funding, you are giving away liberty to do stock buybacks to defend the... — read more

This too shall pass

A lot of people will say "if you're not happy, just get another job" and "if you work hard you have nothing to worry about." For some people, the stability is important, especially with kids. And I think we all know that Intel hasn't been a... — read more

DON'T CHECK YOUR MAIL!!!

The voluntary package is like a golden parachute, complete with fluffy bonuses and gentle landings. As for the involuntary package, well, let’s just say it’s more of a bungee jump—without the bungee. We keep the details vague to maintain that... — read more

Pay increase 2025

How much pay increase is planned for next year? How will all these bad news impact our RSU grant? I think we deserve to be paid more for job well done.
