Will there be more cuts?

Is there any information on the potential sale of the ACVS business unit? It was published in Bloomberg over the weekend, nothing has been stated internally yet.

How much money did we waste on Metaverse? Upwards of $90 billion? It was obvious for years it was a bust but when somebody's ego is so big they can't accept that their brilliant idea is pure sh-t, that's what you get. How many jobs that money could have saved?

I know this is not layoffs related, but it's been bugging more and more since it's slowing me down and it might affect my future here. We send out docs ahead of time for every single meeting, but it’s obvious no one reads them. Then the meeting turns into reading the doc out loud and re-explaining everything. I don’t understand why we even bother sending materials in advance at this point. It's slowing down the meeting, everything takes longer, and I have less time to do my actual job. How hard is it to get to a meeting prepared??

If you worked at Verizon for 15 years in PA, moved to FL, then all the sudden VZ sells off to frontier, but then you quit after a few years on a Friday, start Verizon on a Monday, do you think Verizon will finally bridge the Verizon time again? Was told that since Frontier bought VZ, all VZ seniority ends, should you ever get rehired at VZ. Haven’t been able to bridge the time and have been denied, since in the language of the buyout, you can’t carry your time over, if he rehired. Been back at Verizon for about 7 years now in the same position as service tech, feeling robbed of time.

I know the old Dubin office opened at Polaris but is that place still there? Just wondering. I left the Dublin a couple years before it officially shut down. I've seen posts on this site saying it was going away but never heard if that actually happened.

Exxon pulls offer to sell two initial Golden Pass LNG cargoes - Reuters

Exxon Mobil (XOM) has withdrawn an offer to sell two initial cargoes of liquefied natural gas from its Golden Pass export plant in Texas that has been in the process of starting up operations, Reuters reported Thursday.

I have never seen a more chaotic and poorly managed business in my long career. Letting go of some of your best and hardest working people never ends well. If the Board and CEO were trying to streamline the company, they failed miserably.

My advice: Bring back the good, hard-working people who were let go and fire the CEO.

So what's the word on the street here? QVC has officially filed for chapter 11 and plans to be out of it in 90 days, so clearly there's already a plan here. I can't imagine there won't be an immediate impact to jobs.

Newly appointed Dan has a meeting in November in which he said “AI, AI, AI , coffee” and said he’d be announcing his plan in a future meeting. Other than AI and 15,000 layoffs, what is his plan? Can anyone articulate it? Not being facetious, would really like to know.

What the heck does it mean to be on the bench? Being a benchwarmer is usually bad but it is discussed as if it is good at Exxon so must mean something different?

How long until ADM is sold off? Is there a definite buyer? Will the potential sale include employees or are they likely to get laid off before the sale?

Don't ever forget it. You're more likely to get laid off if you're skilled, experienced, and outperform than if you're an average slacker who's just good at office politics. The better you are, the higher the chance you're deemed too expensive for a company that cares neither about the quality of its people nor the quality of what it delivers.

Laying of 10% of the workforce will boost the company stock. Ford has too much waste in their workforce.
