Still waiting for new work id

Does anyone know what the he-l is taking the company so long to issue the new picture ids, that they demanded back in October that we needed to do it or face discipline. No1 knows where or when they r getting sent out. Once again rush rush rush with this company n the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing.

Today, TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC has been established in compliance with the Executive Order signed by President Trump on September 25, 2025, now enabling more than 200 million Americans and 7.5 million businesses to continue to discover, create, and thrive as part of TikTok's vibrant global community and experience. The majority American owned Joint Venture will operate under defined safeguards that protect national security through comprehensive data protections, algorithm security, content moderation, and software assurances for U.S. users.
TikTok USDS Joint Venture's mandate is to secure U.S. user data, apps and the algorithm through comprehensive data privacy and cybersecurity measures. It will safeguard the U.S. content ecosystem through robust trust and safety policies and content moderation while ensuring continuous accountability through transparency reporting and third-party certifications.

Data Protection: U.S. user data will be protected by USDS Joint Venture in Oracle's secure U.S. cloud environment. The Joint Venture will operate a comprehensive data privacy and cybersecurity program that is audited and certified by third party cybersecurity experts. The program will adhere to major industry standards, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) CSF and 800-53 and ISO 27001 as well as the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Security Requirements for Restricted Transactions.
Algorithm Security: The Joint Venture will retrain, test, and update the content recommendation algorithm on U.S. user data. The content recommendation algorithm will be secured in Oracle's U.S. cloud environment.
Software Assurance: The Joint Venture will secure U.S. apps through software assurance protocols, and review and validate source code on an ongoing basis, assisted by its Trusted Security Partner, Oracle.
Trust & Safety: The Joint Venture will safeguard the U.S. content ecosystem and have decision-making authority for trust and safety policies and content moderation.
Interoperability enables the Joint Venture to provide U.S. users with a global TikTok experience, ensuring U.S. creators can be discovered and businesses can operate on a global scale. TikTok global's U.S. entities will manage global product interoperability and certain commercial activities, including e-commerce, advertising, and marketing.

Simon & Schuster announced a new round of job cuts. This follows earlier "limited" staffing changes this week. Approximately 15 employees were affected across adult and children's divisions.

High-profile editors like Eamon Dolan and Colin Harrison were among those let go. These reductions are a response to current market conditions.


Mercenaries??

So we are mercenaries if we prefer to work from home? He didn't even answer the question that was asked and then said we are an in-person company. No we aren't. Haven't been for awhile but gotta get those mercenaries into the office so we don't waste money on all our corporate real estate. No issue with coming into the office a few days a week but to call us mercenaries is a ludicrous thing to say. Do better Rick.


Today Marked Six Months Since I Was Laid Off (FE-HSE)

Today marked six months since I was laid off.

I realized it in a strange way. I got in my car to grab coffee and, out of pure habit, drove straight to work. I was already pulling into the parking garage when it hit me: oh sht, I don’t work here anymore. I turned around and drove home.

When my wife asked where I’d been, I told her I was just driving and thinking. And I was. I thought about the people who were laid off before me, some of them were ten times the employee I ever was. They didn’t lose their jobs because of performance; they lost them because of bravado, politics, being labeled “too much,” or because the wrong VP didn’t like them. Most of them have landed great roles at other Fortune 100 companies.

My wife suggested I reach out to them, to call or email and ask for help. I told her I’d be surprised if any of them even responded. The truth is, several of them had reached out to me when they were let go, and I stayed silent. I didn’t want them back then. They felt like competition.

A lot of the people who stayed weren’t chosen for the quality of their work, but for who they knew, and honestly, being female or non-white didn’t hurt either. I’ve reached out to friends still at Chevron. No response. I’ve reached out to people who were laid off before me. No response.

I call them friends, but maybe we never were. Maybe we were just people using each other until there was no value left, and then we were discarded.

Right now, I feel like I’m walking alone, and it feels terrible. I made a lot of money as a 26+, but it’s lonely at the top (if you call 26+ the top), and it hurts to know people are calling you an a--hole behind your back. I tell myself “fu-k them,” but it still hurts.

It really hurts. I keep wishing I had been a genuine friend instead of just a company friend. I wish I had lived out the faith I claimed, instead of being a “corporate Christian,” saying the right things for appearances. Lately, everything hurts. I’ve done a lot of soul-searching, but I still feel empty.


Think this through

For everyone on here wanting to know departments, locations, that's the least of your worry. What you need to be seeing is the long term picture here for Cigna. Companies trim fat for multiple reasons. The reason everyone thinks is greed, that's partly true.

You can't sell a company as a whole or sell parts of it off if your numbers are horrible. Cigna is positioning themselves to be sold, the writing is on the wall. They need numbers to look good, number of employees to be good, everything has to line up 100% before they find a buyer for the company.

Mark my word, come back to this post later in. In less than a year this company is sold and part of it won't exist, other parts will. Those in the higher up spots will be compensated nicely b/c they made it profitable long enough for a sale.


Laptop WiFi doesn't work Thursdays when working remotely

I'm trying to work remotely today and the WiFi says no connections available when in fact there are many available connections. For example, My cellphone is connect to the WiFi and I can see all of the WiFi connections from my phone. This happened to me last Thursday as well and when I went to the office it worked. Did the company decide to shut down WiFi and force employees to go to the office by shutting down the WiFi?

SAP in talks to buy or partner with N8N as its internal efforts to boost the next gen SAP Build falters big time with legacy platform. Existing products to be scaled down, retired and moved into support mode with external vendors until customer migration is complete. Teams to be reassigned/ laid off based on the location. Possbile news to be out in 2-4 weeks.
It gets even more critical to compete with lean AI first startups as SAP share price nose dives 17% after the announcement of financial results.
