Mostly Top Performers

On my team they let go the top 3 sales performers with very high commissions. The guy who sold the largest deal in I M Cloud history was let go a month later. Shameful.

Cut travel budget not employees

So long as we keep sending managers on trips to oversee the offshore teams things ain’t gonnna change.
Why the heck are we paying people to give pep talks in India? This only means a plane load of people are taking their spouses on paid vacations.

AI search says Cisco layoffs coming Nov of 25

Regarding layoffs specifically in November 2025, Cisco is preparing to eliminate approximately 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November as part of a cost-saving effort aimed at achieving $2 billion in annual savings. However, the exact dates for these November layoffs have not been specified beyond the general timing in early November.


Do we have enough 60+ people

Do we have enough 60+ people in Oxy that will be enough not to trigger an involuntary layoffs? I don’t know what percentage of people they are looking at reducing if it will come down to letting more people go in the coming months. What’s your take on this?


Rumor that band 5 and up is this week?

I’m hearing rumors that band 5 and above is getting notices this week or accepting a special package. Can any Sr Directors or above confirm this?

Band 6 and below will be the 11/20 group. Im hearing those names are being compiled by band 5 and above now, but I’d like to hear confirmation from the band 5s?

Someone somewhere must have credible information by now. Please let us know!


I think my time here is up

My workload’s dropped off a cliff over the last few months, and while I can’t say for certain, it really feels like my manager’s been avoiding me. I’m almost sure my name’s on the list. Weirdly enough, that realization’s made things easier to handle. Now that I know what’s probably coming, I feel calmer and I’ve already started looking for my next move.


Tone deaf 10 year celebrations

What’s the point of these celebrations when the very people that made this happen are let go? No meaningful strategy when it comes to these layoffs. Those at the top are coasting while those who do the actual work are treated like cr-p. Trust, confidence and motivation to drive is lost and they really expect us to be excited about these “celebrations”?


How did they decide who to let go?

Because it 100% was not performance. We lost two teammates who were among the best, and we have a few who could/should have been laid off instead and are still here. It really su-ks knowing that hard work will not protect you in situations like this. What's even the point then?


Go to other layoff sites: the maga racism prevalent at USAA

Seriously. Go to another bank. Find the strength of racism that exists no where else only at our finest USAA. even more odd, most employees are actually supportive and help one another at other banks. We have a deep rot here. its why we only attract the most d-list leaders.

Palo Alto employee here. Will get notified on Dec and last day 60 days later. Question: What kind of continuing healthcare coverage does Broadcom offer during the severance period? Continuing the existing plan for a period of time?

And I assume after that, the option to purchase Cobra coverage?

Enjoy those checks while they come in. The merger may be in 2027, but they arent going to merge the whole wagon and then start evaluating cuts. Skyworks is not paying out severance packages. Clear that noise from any future considerations. And if you live in one of those places with no semiconductor companies around, well I guess there is always coding like Joe said! Karma for every poor soul that got su-kered into working for the failed merger of RFMD and Triquint and lost their positions due to poor business management!


Philips Respironics to slash nearly 200 jobs from Pittsburgh area facilities

The company, which moved part of its operations to Thailand last year, told the state Department of Labor and Industry last week that it plans to lay off about 196 workers from its centers in Murrysville, Mount Pleasant and New Kensington.

Is it too late in the year for more layoffs?

I'm not sure how it works here, but my old company usually had two major layoffs per year, and it'd all be done by November. Can somebody please tell me how it works here? I've been here for six months, so I'm still trying to figure stuff out. Thanks in advance.
