What happened to this place?

This used to be an amazing place to work. Now, you can feel the fear every day. People whisper, avoid eye contact, and no one wants to stick their neck out. It’s exhausting just being around it. I think full RTO would cause me to quit just so I can avoid having to deal with that throughout the whole week. Could be just my location, though.

More Big News

It appears some big news may or may not be announced this week. I’ve heard it may or may not affect teammates. That said, the source isn’t especially reliable, so it’s difficult to know for sure so it may or may not happen.

NVWs

Has there been any discussion on how long this designation will last and if all people outside hubs need to move or just where offices are closed? This puts people with that status in limbo prolonging the decision.

If there are layoffs, I hope they let us volunteer

I’m really hoping they give us a chance to leave voluntarily because I would take it immediately. Things have been so tense and uncertain, it feels like the best move to step away before the stress really hits hard. Having a way out would be a huge relief and give me a chance to reset and find something better.

GP Employee Curious

Global payments employee here. Many of the employees here still do not know if they’re staying with Global payments are going to FIS a decision has been lingering for some areas. I’m curious on your end at FIS what’s the word on the street? What have you heard regarding TSYS/issuing and the employees that will be coming to FIS.

On edge more than usual

Anyone else feeling like things here are getting weirder by the day? Too many different impactful events and statements are happening all at once, and none of it feels right - it’s not just business as usual. It seems like the company’s in rough shape, and you can feel the tension everywhere. People are way more on edge. Even small announcements get blown up into rumors because no one really trusts what’s going on anymore.

RTO is illusion

Use your brains people. If RTO was truly for the reasons DE said - would they still hire off shore? Will LTI contractors and other vendors be relocated to US? How about teams that have members in multiple locations? What about Poland office? Don’t fall into illusion. You are being asked out, not to return to office. It’s a trick.

How long will layoffs continue?

Any idea? It’s really inconsiderate, to put it mildly, to keep us completely in the dark. We’re all stressed out of our minds, and the only “info” we have comes from each other, half of it nothing but unsubstantiated rumors. Way to leave us with our livelihoods hanging in the balance, while we have no clue what’s really happening.

Rumor, signal inspection reduction.

Rumor is the FRA is going to allow for less frequent signal inspections. Crossings will go from monthly to quarterly inspection intervals. Yes this would free up time for signal maintainers to work supporting maintenance of way which is very much needed, but as always this is causing fears of further headcount reductions to the signal dept. What this doesnt address is the constant need for additional headcount for trouble calls. With current staffing levels there still isnt enough employees available for trouble calls.

why did this site delete the post "this severance vs nov severance"

sure it might be a d-mb question to some, but its a honest one. ive seen d-mber things that're being posted here all the time, why would this site proactively deleting just that

Gartner Layoff Buzz Gains Steam Online Weeks After Earnings-Induced Stock Slump

The marketing research company has allegedly laid off 1,000 employees who worked at its Gurgaon, India office, located near the country’s capital city of New Delhi, information shared by Reddit users on the r/Gurgaon subthread showed...

The stock also snagged price target cuts from many analysts, with UBS downgrading it to ‘Neutral’ from ‘Buy,’ citing the company’s soft contract value growth, the Fly reported. The firm stated that the company now appears to be a 3% organic grower in 2026, down from the previously expected 6% rate. According to the firm, this will limit stock upside.

Wells Fargo cut its price target for the stock to $225 from $345, citing a wide contract value miss in the second quarter. The firm based its toned-down expectations on macro uncertainty pressuring the selling environment, as well as cancellations and non-renewals of federal government contracts.

It noted that 40% of federal contracts would come up for renewal in the second half of 2025.
