Still unsure if I want to sign the VSP. Feeling really unmotivated.

Fake Glassdoor reviews
I see HR are flooding Glassdoor with fake 5 star reviews. This seems to be a regular pattern, if there are a few negative reviews, usually complaining about a toxic culture and useless management, then HR kick into action in order to try and preserve the ratings and continue trying to con people that this is a great place to work.
Trainings...LMAO 🤣
Just got hit with two emails about two CU trainings that are "required to be completed" by October 27: Annual Ethics and Compliance Training and, naturally, Annual Security & AI Risk.
Read the room, Sarah. Read the room.
Don't know why my team is rushing to restructure
Don't know what got into our organization lately. They're moving all the leads into completely unfamiliar areas instead of letting them work on what they know best. The whole org just feels more and more chaotic. It feels like leadership has turned everything upside down. More people are leaving on their own, and layoffs keep happening too. I honestly don't know what management is thinking. Almost everyone in the org is disappointed with all these changes. Nobody seems to understand why they're doing this, but at the same time, it feels like if you push back or question anything, you're just putting a target on your back.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Forcing people to quit doesn't seem realistic, and if they keep laying people off, there won't be anyone left to do the work. The whole org is going to literally fall apart.
I’ve heard that IT might be sabotaging themselves and pretending to have problems just to fix them and keep their jobs
Is this true?
Chaos and complacency
This is so out of control. We know who the problems are. Are they going to do anything to fix it? No. So we can call people out and continue name calling or we can be adults and make the best decisions for ourselves. Adding to the tension is just causing unnecessary drama. It really doesn't matter which facility you work for the dynamic is the same. People talk to hear themselves talk. Whether you're right in your statements or not, it's not helping anything. Either the chaos is doable for you or you should be working hard to find something else. Otherwise you're complacent. You like the chaos though, don't you? You can't say these things in the facility, so here you are. Stirring the pot and poking the bear. It's quite immature to hide behind a screen as a keyboard warrior and incessantly whine about so many things. But that describes complacency, no? So, you're kissing a-s too, the managers just aren't hiding it.
"Layoffs" are not true layoffs at SF
Just a heads-up... firings are commencing at a rapid rate in certain areas. If you have many years with the company and the expectations lately have shifted until they feel like heavy proverbial noose...wiggle out of there quick! You will get no warning. Just bam. Random day, random hour...they'll come for you.... and you are left with NOTHING. Just so relieved my Mom finally saw the light and already changed companies for her own coverages. She herself a retiree with many years of service at SF. People mean LESS THAN NOTHING to SF anymore.
Not that sad to be heading out to make my life better now; I am prepared to make changes and succeed despite that company trying to make me feel more useless every day. When I succeed wildly-and I WILL!- I will have them in mind....only in the most negative way possible.

What is toxic about working at Cigna?
Seeing a lot of negative sentiments about working at Cigna. I left the organization in 2022, and it was a fine place to work back then. Not perfect but I wouldn’t say it was toxic.
What’s changed that’s made Cigna so toxic to work at?
IBM Should Develop a leadership academy named after Mr Gerstner
When Mr. Gerstner became CEO, IBM was facing one of the most challenging periods in its history. He made difficult decisions, refocused the company, preserved IBM as an integrated enterprise, and helped restore its competitiveness. His leadership demonstrated that successful executives must balance long-term strategy, financial discipline, innovation, and customer focus.
A Lou Gerstner Leadership Academy could teach future leaders about:
Leading through major organizational change.
Making tough decisions under pressure.
Putting customers first.
Driving accountability and execution.
Building a culture focused on long-term success rather than short-term popularity.
Whether someone agrees with every decision he made or not, Mr. Gerstner's turnaround of IBM remains one of the most significant corporate leadership stories of the modern era. There are valuable leadership lessons that today's and tomorrow's IBM leaders can still learn from his example.

Negativity
I truly do not understand some of the negative comments on these posts to people trying to navigate through this scary time. We are scared and stressed about what to do. We are all looking for just a little compassion and understanding depending if we take the VSP or not, but no need to be rude to people who are deciding to take it. Trust me I am struggling with the decision which I bet most of us are! A little niceness goes a very long way with people who are nervous and scared

Reorg
After reading through some of these posts and thinking back on prior conversations I’ve had over a year ago I think I have an idea of what is going to happen.
I’ve heard for almost 2 years now that the ultimate goal was of course to bring in AI but also to merge everyone between each LOBs. Claims, UM, OPs, etc. They want one group of people for all LOBs that are cross trained and can work everything.
I’m thinking that’s what this will be. Clean house and get rid of people then reorg who is left into the 1 team per department for all LOBs.
I thought I’ve read that they have done it this way before however and that it didn’t go well? Ya know be because each LOB is vastly different?
Could this be what is happening?
Belk is a run down hovel
My store has
- Rodents
- Lack of a/c
- Filthy carpet and fitting rooms
- No working price checkers
- Tremendously understaffed
- A disconnected, not present store manager
- A RVP who is in the store maybe once a month if that, for like 30 minutes
- A lack of handicapped accessible fitting rooms, isles, and restrooms
- A parking lot with pot holes big enough to swallow your car
- mold and mildew
- Leaking ceiling in office
- Plumbing issues
- No safety and security protocols that actually make sense and help managers and leads/key holders

The axe will swing
Let’s get real peeps.
FIS bought, absorbed, renamed, reorganized, and stacked business on top of business without ever turning the whole thing into something coherent. Too many layers, too many handoffs, too many teams protecting their little kingdoms, and too many people paid to attend meetings about work instead of doing work.
That kind of structure can survive for a while, especially when revenue hides the rot. But eventually the bill comes due. And when it does, headcount is where leadership goes first.
Your impending layoff is the natural consequence of FIS getting big without getting better. The smart move is to stop treating this like a personal betrayal and start treating it like a warning. Update your resume. Call people. Look outside. Move before the axe swings.
And if you have spent years coasting inside FIS, this is the moment of truth. The market will tell you very quickly whether you were building a career or just collecting a paycheck inside a system that made underperformance easy to hide.
Get over it.
Are people really bailing and why?
Seeing a lot of Cisco reps moving to competitors or partners lately or a complete flip in career. What insights do they have that we don't? 🤔
Rich Baich
Worst CISO ever. Spineless a-s who can’t stand for sh-t.
The WOW moment leaving
I used to like working at First Data for the most part. When frankserv took over it went downhill fast for both companies. There was constant frustration, ridiculous policies and mismanagement. I have been out of this place for a few months now. My wife commented how much I've changed for the good since leaving. She said I am back to being man she fell in love with. That was WOW moment!!!
What is going on with commissions?
It's been since April 1 since I've received a commission check, my boss said we would have plans at the end of April so we could get commissions, then May, then mid-June, and he now admitted he has no idea when plans will be out so that we can get paid. He laughed and said he isn't getting paid either. Fortunately, I have some savings, and can absorb a couple months of waiting, but I am running low on funds now, but half of my team is looking for another job, they need the income. There is no confidence that even when plans come out, that the commissions will be right, trying to mix XBS Corporate and now Enterprise, and Lexmark with all the assignment changes. My salesforce is still wrong, and I am missing accounts that were sent to inside sales for now reason. Our CEO and SLT promised better communications and transparency but we haven't seen even one communication about commissions. Is this to hold onto cash or something? Are others having problems getting paid commissions? This seems widespread
Disappointed
We are like the New York jets!!!!!!! Too many upper managers managing their careers instead of the business!!!!!!
Interns are so naive & cute
Walking around the place with so much positivity and high hopes. None of them have any clue that the rest of us are bitter, angry and mostly dead inside because this company su-ks.
Before You Jump to XOM
If you already have a job, keep it. ExxonMobil looks glamorous from the outside, but that shine is fake. I learned the hard way. I ignored every warning about the toxic culture and left a stable job just for the brand name — biggest mistake of my career.
From day one, the so‑called safety buddy didn’t even bother to do their job. Non even a proper welcome.
My first project manager opened our very first meeting by lecturing me about their ‘compete‑to‑win’ culture and how they rank and eliminate people every cycle.
This place isn’t about work, it’s about alliances, cliques, and survival. If you’re not part of a protected gang, you’re a target. Everyone watches everyone. The paranoia is all over this workplace. It’s a pressure cooker with a shiny logo slapped on top.
When Stankey finally, we need Mr. Met on the scene.
If you didn’t know, the NY Mets su-k this year and fired their manager today. The mascot, Mr. Met, seemed pretty pleased with the decision based on this video.

We’ll all be Mr. Met when Stankey finally exits stage right.

BTC hiring trends
I don’t know how it is in other organizations, but EMTech is aggressively hiring in BTC. Either move to a safer department or keep your options open and look elsewhere. I know strategy advisors are always on confidential projects, so they can’t talk about them, but you can still get useful signals from them.
The Corporate skill nobody teaches…
Can someone teach me how to be a yes-man and boost the egos of unskilled, manipulative managers? Apparently, that's the skill needed by TPD Associate Director. Please for once can they let go Boston AD …
Unfortunately, I'm not good at that, so they'll probably let me go.
Sick
sick of this nasty working environment
Will the new CISO Ann Barron De-Camilo dare to clean up non-performing, product checkboxers
It remains to be seen whether she will be able to address and Drain the Swamp that has accumulated over the past 15–20 years. There is still limited clarity on the actual responsibilities within ISS, beyond attending meetings and adopting titles such as “product manager” without a clearly defined product to manage. Additionally, our current risk‑management structure raises concerns — specifically, why more than 800+ ISS stakeholders are assigned to the exact same risk. Just check boxers. Only a few really understand Computer Science principles - 90% of them just Talk - Presentations - Strategy - with no meat..Of-course there a few gems in ISS but their work will be clouded and the CISO never ever gets to know who are these gems really are..
OK, we are now three months into this Google, Cr-p! Exactly what it is cr-p! Anybody notice how much longer it takes you to do your job using Google? Gmail is the absolute worst. Drives will drive you nuts.

HMP basically ki-led — props to RB for actually listening to the CES Survey
Just wanted to add my voice here. A lot of the other posts on this board were true.
On the positive side, big credit to RB and management for actually listening to the CES Survey and making some real changes. That doesn’t happen often, so it’s worth calling out.
Per the last email, it looks like HMP has basically been ki-led. For those of us stuck in open-plan areas with unassigned seating, how are we supposed to get offices now? Feels like that whole piece just disappeared.
Also hearing we’re going back to Monday WFH next — that’s at least something.
Anyone else in the same situation with the seating/offices issue?
