Grubhub, now a part of Wonder, laid off at least 10 people from Merchant Network (or whatever it's called now). Many laid off employees had been there 10+ years. I don't think GH will last another two years at the rate Wonder is gutting it of long-term employees.

I doubt there will be any major layoffs in 2026. They want to look good with the old CEO is leaving and the new joining. There are still remote employees around that did not let go. Some they did, wonder their justification?

It was on a Friday afternoon for Monday.

I had been quiet quitting for a 2 years already so welcomed the payout.

Only gripe I had is it was scheduled for 8am.
I remember pinging my manager "really? we have to do this at 8am???"
no response of course.

Anyways, I am in a much better place now. My only regret was staying as long as I did at Dell (4years). I consider it a stain on my resume.

Does anyone know if for those of us that were impacted yesterday if we can still receive a performance bonus for 2025?

Was let go in early December, told I would get an offer the start of January but after calling HR I was told I was still an employee for Jan and would get the offer mid to late Jan but have still not received any email from them and doubt Ill be getting one tomorrow..Anyone in a similar boat get any new info? I am getting 22 weeks of severance and I don’t want to lose it. However I may have the ability to come back and am in interviews next week. My last day is 2-6-26. If I ask this new division to wait until the 7 days after I sign my severance to offer me the job, can I keep the severance? I need to work but don’t want to lose the money.

For those who asked to be laid off and got the severance package, can you share how to ask (even though it’s not allowed) and how long it took? Can anyone weigh in on the chances of this happening? Thanks.

Everyone around me is on edge with all the layoff rumors.

I was completely blindsided. There was never any indication I'd be considered for layoffs. High performer, never had an issue. Over eight years of a great record. For future reference - nobody, and I mean nobody, is ever safe.

If you were laid off you are able to get stip as part of your severance. Is this still happening? Seems like they’re cutting back on everything financially

For those who were laid off, condolences. Don't sign anything without examining it carefully or, if you think appropriate, have an attorney review it. For those with long careers, please invoke the Rule of 70 when discussing your severance. It has to do with compensating tenured employees close to retirement age. Whether they honor it or not, it will give them something to consider if it keeps coming up. Be kind to yourselves. When reviewing your resume, make sure that it is in an ATS friendly format, this will make sure that any AI tools being used to filter resumes will see it and forward it for review. Apply for unemployment too. Remember, none of this was your fault. It will continue to happen to those still left on the field. It ain't over.

That era has passed. Only leaders with exceptional skills and a high degree of adaptability can save companies and make them prosper now. I'm afraid we don't have that kind of leadership at our disposal.

It’s not that they're always wrong. It's that I've become so exhausted by the constant stress, uncertainty, and pressure that I've gone numb. If my job is gone, I'll just deal with it somehow - bad job market, rising costs and all. I just can't deal with this cr-p anymore.

So where did the across the board layoff mandate come from? Was it from Juan? Is the company's financials on a nose dive? If it's company restructuring, who's the visionary of all these? If it's org restructure, why is it that most teams remain as they are but the head count is reduced?

According to ECMC, the layoffs affect "mostly non-clinical areas."

I was a former employee of 35 years at Pearson Vue. I too was let go on the 12th. I gave all my loyal and dedication to this company for a lot of time. I was mortified when I found out that my job had been eliminated due to it being outsourced to India. This will fail as everything else will fail because everybody is just a $to them. This is not the company that I show loyalty to for all the years so I’m OK with leaving as I did knowing that I put my best effort forward. They let a lot of good people that dedicated all their time to helping Pearson be what it is today. So sad. They were so sneaky about how they did the layoffs. Some people still don’t know the total number of employees who were let go. Most of the people who I am aware of were here 15 plus years.

QA for complaints in SLC got notified today that they would be let go by end of 2027. And in a town hall where they showed a map with SLC not on it for core locations and then just moved on like it was nothing.

For whatever reason, they don’t want to work anymore. Can they signify manager to have them in the laid off list. When is the latest to let them know (as layoff is normally planned ahead).

Just got off call about LR's. We each got a list of people affected in our respective teams, pretty much informed that we have to break the ice with each person affected. So yes, February layoffs are unfortunately confirmed.

When people had their "org update" meeting, did anyone else get the "class act" of having their manager read it to them? Probably one of the most childish things I've ever experienced in my life. Lol.

So far no cuts this year. Is it safe to think our jobs are okay for this quarter? I want to stop stressing and make some plans, but I don't want to get blindsided.

I just got laid off, and weirdly, I'm fine? I thought I'd be freaking out, but I just feel numb. Maybe I'm in shock, or maybe I was just so done with this place that it's a relief.
